Meet Head Coach Trevon Ryans – Indiana Elite Prep

The Indiana Elite Prep program is led by Head Coach Trevon Ryans, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. Since taking over as head coach in 2023, Coach Ryans has guided the Wolves of Indiana Elite Prep through a highly competitive schedule, facing off against top junior college programs, elite prep teams, and nationally ranked opponents.

Player Development

In his first season at the helm, Coach Ryans built a roster of nine student-athletes, successfully helping each player advance to the collegiate level. His leadership was further highlighted when one of his players left mid-season at Christmas break to pursue a college scholarship, later earning the NAIA Conference Player of the Year award.

Beyond the prep circuit, Coach Ryans has also been active in AAU basketball, helping four of his athlete's secure college opportunities in the summer of 2024 through the gift of athletics.

Playing & Coaching Background

Coach Ryans graduated from Bethesda Christian High School in Brownsburg, Indiana, where he developed his passion for the game. He then went on to continue his education and basketball journey at Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky.

After completing college, he returned home to pursue his dream of coaching basketball full-time. In 2023, alongside his role at Indiana Elite Prep, he also served as:
🏀 Head JV Coach at Irvington Prep High School (Indianapolis, IN)
🏀 Head Varsity Assistant Coach at Irvington Prep

During that season, Irvington Prep went on to win a sectional championship, with Coach Ryans playing a key role on the coaching staff.

A Bright Future in Coaching

In his second year at Indiana Elite Prep, Coach Ryans faced adversity, battling injuries within his roster. Despite these challenges, he kept his team together and led them on a deep run in the Big Baller Brand National Championships, ultimately falling just short in an overtime semifinal thriller.

Now, as he enters Year 3 with Indiana Elite Prep, Coach Ryans is one of the brightest young coaches in the game, and under his leadership, the Wolves are poised to take on the best programs in the nation.
